9/4/11 - Wet Behind the Ears

Literally. One of the last swimming days of the Summer.  I'm just so amazed at how much Nathan grew as a swimmer this summer.  He really doesn't even need us in the pool anymore!  He can tread water and swim the entire length of the pool.


When I arrived at the pool, Nathan and Daddy were sitting in the "hot water".  Look at that sweet mug!

Daddy and Nathan had invented a game where they played "Rock Paper Scissors" and whoever won got to push the other person into the pool.  



Taking a breath while swimming across the pool.   This was what I had hoped he would learn this Summer. Mission accomplished!

    Oh my -- I missed swimming with my boy this past summer. Nearly everyday when the weather was nice -- which in SoCal is almost always -- he and I hit the pool. I'm so pleased all that hard play paid off to help turn him into a super swimmer. Loving water -- having fun. Yay!
