I Just May Be Crazy

I've decided to attempt a 365 - photo a day - project.  I'm pretty sure that this isn't going to be pretty.  I will attempt to take one photo every day for a year.  I can't promise that all the photos will be great, but I will do my very best to get something every day.  I may need to resort to the iPhone or take a photo of something sitting on my desk....but, well, you get the picture.

So....WHY?  Hard to say exactly.  Business was painfully slow this Fall and I feel like I may be in a bit of a creative rut.  I really don't want my beloved camera gathering dust....it's just far too difficult to clean.  Also, I'm trying to stretch myself....become better at this blogging thing.  I think I may be just a bit too guarded in the way I write about myself and my life on-line and I'd like to fix that.  I guess I'm hoping that putting myself out there more, forcing myself to post weekly that I may get better at communicating.  Perhaps I'll learn how to be myself when I write about my photography.

Format - I plan on one or two posts to the blog per week.  If I get really ambitious and efficient with the project, I may up the frequency to one per day...but I'm trying not to get ahead of myself.  SO for now....I haven't officially started, but I'm going to share some images from the last week.

I painted glitter on this ornament about 10 years ago when I was too broke to buy anyone anything decent for Christmas.  I decided to make gifts for everyone....drawings, paintings....and home "improved" ornaments.  I still love the ornaments I made for myself and use them every year.

Proof that my cat puts up with just about anything.  Good kitty Steinway!

I love this shot of my boy Nathan.  He was having a grumpy morning and was lying on the couch pouting until I got the camera out.  As soon as I snapped the first picture he perked up and said...."I wanna see!"  By his side...his trusty bed time buddy "Dude".

Nathan's brand new, just got for Christmas, skates after one hour trying to learn how to roll instead of walk.

Nathan playing with Mama's iPhone.  He seriously loves that thing and I'm pretty sure he spends more time with it than I do.

Nathan in his new big boy room reading a bedtime story with Daddy.  *sigh*
